New telemac2d features for v5p5 links from New version features

v5p5 TELEMAC-2D

Date: 1st Febrary 2005

The principal features of this version v5p5 of TELEMAC-2D are:

  • Wave equation enhanced (with tidal flats)
  • Friction modified (see separate document)

New options and new or modified keywords

PRINTING CUMULATED FLOWRATES (IMPRESSION DU CUMUL DES FLUX)
Logical. The default value is NO
Must be set to YES to have a printout of the cumulated flowrates through the control sections.
COMPATIBLE COMPUTATION OF FLUXES (CALCUL COMPATIBLE DES FLUX)
Logical. The default value is NO
If yes, the fluxes through control sections will be computed in a way compatible with the Saint-Venant continuity equation as it is treated in Telemac-2D, with an integration by parts and the weak formulation of impermeability. This key-word could also apply in next versions to the fluxes at the open boundaries and to the mass-balance. This is an expensive option, especially if a printing of cumulated flowrates is asked, because it triggers a computation at every time-step.
IMPLICITATION FOR DIFFUSION OF VELOCITY (IMPLICITATION POUR LA DIFFUSION DES VITESSES)
Integer. The default value is 1
The pseudo-wave equation technique has been improved, with an implicitation of the diagonal terms of the diffusion matrix in the velocity equation. This enables larger time-steps (see e.g. culm test-case).
The implicitation parameter is thus now important when the key-word : TREATMENT OF THE LINEAR SYSTEM = 2.
The implicitation was set to 0 in previous versions in the case of pseudo-wave equation. This coefficient must now be set to 0 by the user to have a compatibility with previous versions, otherwise the default value is 1. It is used, when the wave equation is chosen, only for the diagonal terms of the diffusion matrix. In that case even a value of 2 may be chosen.

New user subroutine and modifications in user subroutines

SUBROUTINE FLUXPR
